What did your service involve?

Tick everything you did. This is how a claim gets connected to your service, and most of it is ordinary soldiering that veterans forget to mention. Ruck marches wear out backs and knees. Boots and pavement cause flat feet. Ranges cause ringing ears.

Your job in the military MOS, rate or AFSC, and what you actually did For example "11B infantry" or "88M truck driver". Your job points to exposures a claim can rest on.

Where and when did you serve?

How do you want to file?

Filing online is the fastest way and it timestamps your claim the day you submit. It needs a verified VA.gov sign-in. You can also mail the form or hand it in, which needs no account at all.
